" Puthunaamb" a program based on agriculture in association with AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND FARMER'S WELFARE DEPARTMENT
On the 17th of November 2022 , the department of Science organized a program based on agriculture in association with AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND FARMER'S WELFARE DEPARTMENT. The department had cordially invited MRS REJI PP [ President , Kutiattoor Grama Panchayth to inaugurate the ceremony.

The program began with an auspicious prayer by Ms. Keerthana and Ms Devika Of BCA Ill year. It was followed by Welcome Speech by our beloved HOD, Mrs. RESHMA THOONOLI. Subsequently, our respected Principal, Professor MAJEED P.P had given his presidential address . The event then witnessed the Inaugural speech by our chief quest, Mrs. REJI P.P,[ President , Kutiattoor Grama Panchayat] . Soon after, our reputed chairman, Mr. MUNEER K.K had given his chairman's address . This was then followed by Mr SIDHARTH S, Agricultural Officer - Krishibavan Kutiattoor , delivering his keynote address . From here on , felicitation speech had been delivered by our respected staff secretary Mr. T. RASHEESH, Staff advisor Mr. JITHESH P followed by student union chairman, Mr. AKHIL KP. After Mrs. NISHITA M, Program Coordinator, had expressed her role of thanks, seed distribution was initiated by Mr. YOUSUF PALAKKAL [ Pazhassi ward member] . The teaching and non teaching staff of ITM college had then together planted a seed in a grow bag along with our respected chief guests . After a short tea-time break, the event had moved on to the next session , which was an agricultural classby the agricultural officers Mr. UDHAYAN , Assistant, Agriculture Officer, had shared his knowledge on the history of agriculture and its impact on our daily life . Next on, Mr.SIDHARTH S, Agriculture Officer [ Krishibhavan,Kuttiattor ] had taught us the right way of planting a seed . He had patiently instructed us about the procedure on how to plant a healthy crop and also how to nurture it . He also had an interactive session where in the students were able to share their thoughts.

All in all, the program was a grand success and beneficial.We were able to achieve a lot of new information regarding agriculture. The event was then winded up by distributing the seeds to all the students of BCA department, staff of other departments and also staff representing the administrative department .
